I’m Shug,

I’ve been reading tarot for over a decade, studying esotericism and mysticism for the last five years, and walking a path of spiritual growth — as both student and practitioner — for most of my adult life.

My work is shaped by lived practice, not trend cycles.

I come from a spiritual lineage informed by hoodoo and ancestral traditions, alongside long-term study across multiple mystical, philosophical, and psychological systems. I approach spirituality as a discipline — something to be studied, questioned, integrated, and lived.

ShugNBones exists because I believe spiritual work should be grounded, responsible, and liberating — not theatrical, extractive, or fear-driven.

My work is not about prediction.
It’s about remembrance, discernment, and integration.

I built ShugNBones as a response to an industry full of fear tactics, vague promises, and performative spirituality. I believe insight should empower you — not hook you.

Depending on the question and what you gain from the insight I may briefly touch on these, but will typically not do a full reading or pull for these things.
